The MOMS Club of Octorara Area was founded in 2009 and is part of an international, non-profit organization that offers support and social opportunities primarily for stay-at-home mothers.  We are a friendly group of diverse moms and children who are interested in making new friends and having fun together! The MOMS Club is an easy way to meet other moms in the area while getting to know your community and finding new playmates for your children!

You do not need to be a full-time stay-at-home mom to join our club - many of our members work part-time or have an at-home based business which allows them the time to be active in our club.  Mothers with any age children are welcome and you do not have to leave the group when your children enter school!  We know mothers still need support as their children grow.  We offer support to all mothers - regardless of race, age, religion, or socioeconomic status.

Our club is a chapter of the International MOMS Club organization, (www.momsclub.org), which was founded in 1983 by Mary James, an at-home mother in California, who decided she was tired of being alone at home.  She wanted to meet other at-home mothers and she wanted to find other at-home children for her children to play with.  There are now 2,000+ chapters in the U.S. with over 100,000 members and International chapters have started forming as well.
